Role:
1) Systematic and critical examination of the construction operation in its entirety
2) Tendering process
3) Selection of suppliers
4) Contracts
5) Supervision
6) Payments/warranties
7) Identification of hazards and levels of risk by evaluation of carried out works
8) Detection of non-efficiency and non-compliance of performed procedures with the requirements laid down by METRO and the country legislative
9) Suggestions for improvement of construction related procedures
10) Follow up audits to ensure that detected faults are rectified
Requirements:
1) Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge as a civil engineer
2) Minimum 5 years experience with construction as a civil engineer, preferred experience gained as site engineer (buildings ready for occupancy) and/or supervisor/inspector
3) Analytical talent and ability to abstract
4) Working knowledge in the Office applications (Word, Excel, Power point etc.)
5) Fluent in local language as well as English
6) Excellent skills in communication/negotiation with all levels (verbal and in writing)
7) The applicant must be capable of working on her/his own initiative, flexible, discrete and cooperative |
